Who Am I? 

Hello, my name is Jesecia, and I am an instructional designer with a background in science and education. Over the past 10 years, I have focused on designing effective learning experiences by making them fun, engaging, and immersive. I have a strong passion for helping others learn and my love for learning fuels me. As a lifelong learner myself, I am constantly seeking ways to improve my skills as an instructional design professional. To this end, I am pursuing a micro-master certificate in instructional design(ID) and participating in ID communities. I also regularly consume ID content to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in the field. 

Action Plan 

As we grow older, we tend to shift our mindset towards independent learning. Being an adult learner myself, I understand the importance of knowing why we are learning something new and how we can apply that knowledge. Therefore, I design learning experiences by adopting an iterative approach to problem-solving, focusing on creating accessible and high-quality learning experiences. To achieve my goal, I use instructional models like ADDIE and SAM.

 What I Offer

Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. I thrive on building authentic relationships with my peers, SMEs, and various stakeholders to gain buy-in as we work towards reaching a common goal. Although I highly value collaboration, I am also a self-motivated individual and can work independently when needed.
